Are there any special free trade zones in Vietnam?

On 6 November 2006,  Decision No 253/2006/QD-TT was issued  promulgating the  Regulations on Operation of Chu Lai Open Economic Zone (OEZ).

The OEZ has an area of approximately 210 sq km and is adjacent to the Dung Quat oil refinery, about 100 km south of Da Nang. Investors are encouraged to carry out investment in infrastructure, industrial development, trading, services, tourism, entertainment, finance, banking, insurance, transportation, training and education, health care, housing, import and export and other related activities in accordance with Vietnamese laws.
