For Singapore tax purposes, a tax equalisation arrangement is considered a private arrangement. Where any income tax is borne by an employer on any or all of the remuneration of an employee or where a particular category of the remuneration is paid tax free, the tax borne wholly or partly by the employer will be considered a taxable benefit to the employee.
