Are accommodations supplied by the employer a taxable benefit to the employee?
- FAQ: SINGAPORE
- Date: 15.07.2010

Where accommodation is provided by the employer, special provisions apply to determine the value of the taxable benefit. Broadly, and subject to certain exceptions (see SGP ¶23-100), the benefit is the lower of the annual value of the property or an amount equal to 10% of the employee’s “gains or profits from employment” (essentially his total remuneration package).
